Next step: the CCW class ($300).

Want more reps first, or want to try a few guns before you buy one? Book a private lesson ($200) instead.

After CCW

I just finished CCW

Next step: Defensive Pistol Program (DPP) Module 1 ($225 per module) or a private lesson ($200).

The CCW qualification proves you can hit a target while standing still. DPP teaches you to draw from concealment and shoot under pressure. Prefer one-on-one? A private lesson covers the same skills at your own pace.

Add-ons:

  • Utah CCW: $125

  • Add a gun to your permit: $50 at a scheduled range day

Renewal reminder: Permits issued on or after January 1, 2027 are good for 3 years. Permits issued before that are good for 2 years.

After DPP

I just finished a DPP module

Next step: the next module ($225), up to Module 5.

After Module 5, book a private lesson ($200) and work one-on-one with an instructor on whatever you want to sharpen.

Answer these three questions:

  • Can you load, unload, and clear a basic malfunction on your own?

  • Can you keep your shots in an 8-inch circle at 7 yards?

  • Do you own a holster you actually carry in?

All yes: start with DPP Module 1 ($225).

Any no: start with a private lesson ($200).
